SUSTAIN Rebrand

SUSTAIN Rebrand

Since the inception of the SUSTAIN project several years, our logo has remained much the same, aside from a few colour changes along the way to make it more user friendly for printing, presentations and social media. We decided now was time for a change; our new logo has been developed alongside a set of brand guidelines, templates for presentations, documents and social media banners. This will allow us to better tie together all the different strands of the SUSTAIN project, and bring uniformity to our work across the partner Universities and Businesses.

The vision for the new brand was to be as representative of the steel industry as a whole as possible, which made it was difficult to settle on an image which could characterise the plethora of projects and processes covered under the SUSTAIN banner. Therefore we felt it would be more suitable to represent decarbonisation, symbolised in the previous logo by the tree design which has evolved into the leaf design depicted in the new branding.

The grey colouring of the main lettering has been selected to represent steel; whilst the green leaves illustrate our vision of the transition to a greener, more sustainable future. The circle around the leaves portrays the business model aspects of the projects, representing the circular economy. The colour change from grey to green signifies our commitment to decarbonisation and our interest in developing a more sustainable steel supply chain.

We hope you like our new branding – copies of the new logo, brand guidelines and templates will be made available to all partners very shortly, please start using these as soon as you receive them. For any branding queries please contact info.sustainsteel@swansea.ac.uk and one of the team will get back to you.
